![]() Is this as simple as reading from the temperature meter, which is very simple and just make the same output on the analogue output ? Can it be that simple ?Īny information on how these temperature thermostats work in connection to the pellet stove burner. So I started to think, dangerous I know, but why not make one out of raspberry pi or arduino. I have found a few thermostats but they are quite costly, over $100. After some research I found that you can hook up a thermostat to it, it has a plus and minus connection on the back, looks like a speaker connection. The correct way to describe this is once the area close to the burner is hot enough, it is time to turn off, which means when it is very cold outside my burner gets up to decent warm then turns off and it gets quite cold again. It has some intelligence meaning it will sleep once the room is warm enough, as you set on the control panel on the stove, but the intelligence is highly overrated. I have a pellet stove burner in my house. ![]()
